Buddha with my first camelia flower of the season
I can only think of one useful piece of advice for the new year to come, for all those that are making resolutions. Here is it. It comes from my friend Holly the pastry chef. (For all you who don’t have one, it’s really nice to have a friend who’s a pastry chef—or any chef for that matter.)
Holly says that if you want to change something in your day-to-day life, you have to do it for forty days in row. After forty days it becomes habit. This is not easy, but it works.

beautiful flower! Happy New Year!

Forty days, huh? Forty nights too? Very biblical.
Hey, Happy New Year to you and your guys!
Beautiful photo. Made my day.

Thank you. Happy New Year to you.
Jacqueline,

Your Camellia looks beautiful with Buddha. He must have been happy with this gift.
Your friend Holly's advice is good.
I hope your year is one of adventures, enjoyment, fun and lots of love.

Wow, a friend who is a pastry chef. Sounds like a good friend to have.
I've always heard you can establish a new habit in 21 days. I can do 21 days, but 40? That's over a month!

Chigiy,
I'm on day 4 of detoxing from my holiday food and alcohol binge. Only 36 more days to go! Happy New Year-Holly
(it must be a slow time of year if you're passing on my philosophy to fill your blog!)

Happy New Year, Chigiy - your camellia blossom is so perfect!
This forty days to create a habit idea is pretty interesting. How many days does it take to make blogging became a habit, I wonder?
