Thanks to some nice weather, I was able to layout part of my spiral veggie garden. Here are a couple of photos of my progress. BTW, we have had an inch of rain in the last two hours with two stronger storms coming along in the next couple of days.
Yipee.
I can’t wait to see what my septic system does.

I love this idea and can't wait to see the results. Michael gives me a hard time because of the layout of my garden plot...I strayed away from having rows and created an 'X' in my 20'X20' plot. I think it is fun and much more interesting. It also gave me new ideas for ways to plant it! I'll be checking back to see your results.

Inspired. It's going to be great.
Have you ever seen the Spiral Jetty?http://www.robertsmithson.com/earthworks/spiral_jetty.htm
Did you do all that earth-moving, or did you set your gardening minions to work?

Ferne,
I think an X garden sounds like a great idea. It sounds functional also. How wide is your X?
Jacqueline,
That is so funny, Rich showed me a picture of the spiral jetty yesterday. It is very cool. He also showed me a picture of a serpentine wall sculpture at Stanford that I never new exsisted.

Looks good. Your spiral is progressing nicely.

Looks good to me. I can't draw a straight line with a ruler so everything I do tends to look that way. Besides who says you can't be creative in a vegetable garden.

Hi Chigiy,
Good for you for making progress on your spiral garden. It looks great already ... keep on writing about it!
I meant to tell you that I mostly use winsor & newton watercolour paints, or grumbacher sometimes. I don't do enough painting these days...

I love the fun of experimenting with new forms. This will be a fun experiment; please keep us posted (win or lose).
And thanks for stopping by my blog last week and your kind comments about my color theory post. There's a new one there now on eschewing flowers for strong form and composition.
Have a great Green Thumb Sunday
