Annie in Austin

Oh Chigiy- you had a Sci Fi film in your own yard - how funny! You're a budding script writer, aren't you? You should have run for a yellow legal pad.

Since we have no sprinkler system or netting, if this happened in my garden it would be even scarier.

Sally

Tremors! Hee!! One of my favorite films. I'm glad you could get the leak fixed befor it did damage.

chigiy

Annie,
Someone already beat me to that screenplay.
I could do one of my life. It would be somewhere between a tragedy and a comedy

chigiy

Sally,
before we got it fixed and after we realized what it was, my husband and I started jumping on it. It was like a waterbed in our lawn. It was really weird.

Carol

Are you sure it was a broken sprinkler pipe that caused it? Or did 'something' else conveniently use that mound to lift up out of the ground for a brief moment to have a look around?

You really should be sure...

That's just bizarre!

Wicked Gardener

Wow - I've never seen anything like that! Too funny!

chigiy

Well Carol,
What do you think? Did Nessy take a wrong turn at the Loch?

Danielle,
It was very bizarre.

Wicked,
I had never seen anything like it either, well at least not in person.

The first thought that came to mind when I saw the pic of your lawn was "look a pregnant lawn." but then when I read your Tremors reference I thought of The Simpsons.

In particular the episode where Homer is in charge of waste management and he starts letting other states dump their trash in Springfield. Soon they have large lumps like your lawn forming and trash spewing out like a volcano.

LOL, thanks for the laugh.

chigiy

Mr Brown Thumb,

It's funny you should bring up waste management. The lump in my lawn just happens to be right over our leach fields. Ewww, ick, I don't want to think about it.
